Idana, Bullets in talks

The 2021 TNM Super League player of the season, Chimwemwe “Gatuso” Idana has confirmed with the Times Group that his contract with Nyasa Big Bullets will come to an end next month.
The midfield maestro who was promoted from the Reserve side back alongside Hassan Kajoke said he is currently holding talks with his Club over a new deal.
“It is true that my contract will expire next month. I am only talking to Bullets and not any other team,” he said.
Idana and Bullets are reportedly yet to agree on personal terms as the player is said to be demanding a huge monthly salary of K700, 000 including a signing-on fee of K8 Million, per Wa Ganyu ‘s reports.
The people’s team Chief Administration Officer Albert Chigoga said the club is trying to negotiate with the players whose contracts are coming to an end.
“Most players at Bullets have running contracts as the majority of them extended their stay last year. The club is also discussing with players whose contracts will expire soon.
“Contract issues are confidential as both parties need to scrutinise things and negotiate; so, I cannot comment on a specific player. We will issue a statement outlining players we are signing or releasing to enlighten our supporters,” he told the Times Group.
