Jay I releases first album “love before marriage”

Mzuzu based up and coming Afro and RnB artist Jay I real name Junior Mofolo has released his first album titled love before marriage.

He said he has double celebration in the month of December because his dream of releasing first album has been fulfilled including Christmas celebration.

Speaking in an interview Tuesday, Jay I said the album has 12 songs among others Thanana, Tsamba, Inu Yahwe, Manjenje, Kopa and love before marriage.

“I started composing songs in 2019 but I have not released an album since then. This album has come at a good time when people are already in Christmas mood,” Jay I said.

The artist said though the album was supposed to be released last month November but because of the financial challenges has made the artist to release the album December.

Jay I added that people should expect a lot of work in the future in as far as music is concerned because a number of big projects have been lined up come 2023.

DJ Simba real name Jacob Nkhata who is the manager of Jay I said he is happy that the project they started has come to an end.

“I am delighted that the project has been finished. I thank my artist for being patient and follow my instructions from the start,” Simba said.
He added that Malawi has talent urging companies to come in and support emerging artists the country has.

“If we can do like what is happening in Nigeria whereby upcoming artists are supported by companies, Malawi would be on the map,” he added.

According to DJ Simba the project in a finished product saying it has a beautiful composition which people will enjoy listening.

Simba then advised artists who already made their names to accommodate these upcoming artists through collaborations by doing so they are promoting the newly born talents.
