The TNM Super League and FDH Champions, Nyasa Big Bullets are set to host the four-team international friendlies as part of preparing the 2023 season, unconfirmed reports reveal.

According to Sunday Mail in Zimbabwe, Dynamos Football Club and UD Songo who are leading the league in Mozambique are some of the Clubs to take part in the friendly games.

The people’s team also held the same kind of friendly games years ago when Ferroviaro De Nampula and Chicken Inn came to Malawi, a tournament that Mighty Mukuru Wanderers also participated.

Dynamos finished third in the just ended 2021-22 Castle Lager Premier League.

Dynamos are expected to be coached by one of Pasuwa’s backroom staff that won four league titles in the trot between 2011 and 2014, Rhinos Gaffer Maruwa who will replace Tonderau Ndiraya.

Dynamos Spokesperson, Tinashe Farawo has confirmed the reports saying they want to have a decent preseason.

“We are expecting to have a different preseason. This time we are looking forward to a four-team tournament that will feature top clubs from Malawi and Mozambique. This tournament will be played at the end of February, ” said Farawo.

Efforts to speak to Nyasa Big Bullets officials proved futile as they were unable to pick up their phones.

However, Chief Executive Officer, Suzgo Nyirenda hinted that they would be announcing their plans as part of preparing for the 2023-24 TotalEnergies Caf Champions League after being booted out in preliminary stages four times consecutively.

“We are tired of winning domestic football, we want to reach the group stages of Caf Champions League. We will be announcing our plans later before the season starts,” quoted when speaking to TV Islam.

It’s the first time the Harare giants to visit Malawi as they also participated in 2016 Nyasa Challenge Cup- Second half own goal from God knows Murwira handed Nyasa Big Bullets a 1-nil victory.

Bullets had to wait until 68th minute for the goal through Murwira who managed to beat his own goal keeper into the net after failing to clear a cross from Nyirenda.
