Chitipa United complete Nyasa Capital Cup semifinals


Chitipa United have booked a slot in semifinals of Nyasa Capital Finance after beating resilient Kalaria FC by 2 goals to nill on Wednesday at Karonga Stadium .
Kalaria missed the spot kick in the first half before Peter Mughogho scored Chitipa opener from the spot, the second goal came from Alex Benson.
After the game Assistant Coach for Chitipa United Slyvester Mkandawire said it was a difficult game playing a team which they didn’t know, but praised his players for a spirited performance to book their place in the semifinals.
“It was a tough game playing a team we didn’t know, we started on a low note we were studying them i’m happy we have won” Mkandawire said.
Kalaria FC Assistant Coach Phillimon Milanzie says they lacked experience and they tried all they could but it was not their day.
“We beat Baka City in the last 16 so we are not disappointed that we have reached this far, my players have done well, we lacked experience in today’s game” Milanzie Said
With the win Chitipa United will face Kadona Stars while Mayamiko Stars will play against Embangweni United in the other semifinal.
