Former Super League side Chitipa United dropped vital points after playing a goaless draw in their home game against resilient Kadona Stars at Base ground in Chitipa.

Having corrected maximum points in Nkhatabay last week against Chintheche United spectators came in their numbers to witness the encounter which ended in a goaless draw.

After the game Team Manager for Chitipa United Watson Kabaghe accepted the result saying his team was outplayed today.

“Getting a point against Kadona is good to us because we failed to play our game, we have hope that we will correct maximum points in our coming games” a visibly disappointed Kabaghe said.

His opposite side Matatiyo Banda says it was a difficult game against experienced side Chitipa and getting a point was not bad.

“We were playing against an experienced side so getting a point away is not bad for us, we now shift our focus to tomorrow’s fixture against Baka we need to get maximum points and finish our home games.” Banda said.

The result means Chitipa United still leads with 21 points from 11 games while Kadona is third with 17 points a point below Mighty Rumphi Wanderers which defeated bottom placed Ekwendeni United 2-1.
