Litmus test for Chitipa in Simso Innobuild league
Chitipa United have litmus test in their promotion mission as the face resilient Kadona Stars at Base ground in Chitipa.
Former Super League side Chitipa United have drawn once at home as they remain unbeaten in Simso Innobuild Last 8.
Speaking ahead of today’s encounter Team Manager Watson Kabaghe says the team is geared to continue with their form to increase their promotion chances.
“We are playing at home and all we have to do is to win in order to increase our chances in our promotion mission and our boys know that” said Kabaghe.
Luka Milanzie coach for Nkhatabay based Kadona Stars says it will not be easy but they need to have a positive result if they are to remain in contention for promotion.
“We need to get a positive result today if we are to remain in contention and we will do that” said Milanzie former Nomads forward.
Speaking on the progress of the league General Secretary for Northern Region Football Association Masiya Nyasulu says they have a good league so far and says the rotation of referees will continue.
“We had a meeting with all top 8 teams yesterday, we have assured them of unbiased officiation as we will continue with rotation of referees and we urge teams to keep the momentum” Nyasulu said.
The other game will be at Rumphi stadium where Mighty Rumphi Wanderers will be hosting bottom placed Ekwendeni United.
