Baka City bow out of Nyasa Capital Cup
Division one side Kalaria FC have defeated Simso Innobuild side Baka City 4-2 in Nyasa Capital Cup last 16 on Sunday at Karonga Stadium.
Karonga based division one team outclassed Baka City in both departments as Baka City proved to be vulnerable at their back as at time they trailed 4-1 and one of their players Andreas Genturo went off the pitch without being substitute apparently in protest with his team’s poor show.
After the game Coach for Kalaria Kabowa Chisambi praised his player for a spirited performance. “I am very happy that we have won against Simso side, we had hope that we will win but not with this margin” a visibly happy Chisambi said.
While Team Manager for Baka City Alick Zungu was at a loss to explain the humiliating defeat and blamed it on fatigue.
“We had another game yesterday in Rumphi we travelled so my players were tired so we cannot control fatigue but organizers could have done better on the fixture” Zungu said.
Asked as to why some players went to the dressing room before final whistle Zungu said they will have to back and talk to their players to understand what happened.
“I don’t know what happened to him maybe he was injured, maybe he had issues with his boot I cannot say anything on that, we will now focus on the league though it is tough.” a visibly disappointed Zungu said.
In the other game played yesterday Chitipa United defeated Katoto United 4-3 on penalties after 90 minutes ended 2 all at Luwinga Technical Center ground.
