Raiply National Volleyball tourney Kicks off in Mzuzu

Raiply national tournament kicked off this morning at Katoto Court in the City of Mzuzu as teams battle it out to be crowned National champions.

Defending champions in men’s category have been paired with Mzimba Prison, Moyale Troopers, Kamuzu Barracks And Changalume Barracks in group A while last years runners up Mipuniro Spikers have been paired with Katoto Trickers, Chibavi Smashers, Lilongwe Spikers And DMI University in group B.

In Women’s category Group A consist of Wolves ladies, Katoto Queens, Eagle Claws Ladies, Vixens And DMI University while in group B we have Moyale Queens, Chibavi Queens, Mzuzu international academy, Kamuzu barracks ladies And Ultimate Volleyball Club.

Volleyball Association of Malawi General Secretary Daniel Mwakasoko has Said that the tournament has started on a higher note as far as the play is concerned, the discipline among the teams is on point And also the turn out is impressive which shows that the competition has started well And expecting More until the end of the tournament.

Mwakasoko continued to say the tournament has adopted a new theme ” Lets plant, preserve And protect our Forest in Malawi from the usual “Lets preserve And protect Chikangawa forestry” as Malawi has alot of Forest which also needs our care hence the adoption of the new theme.

Mwakasoko has also commended Raiply for their continued support towards the tournament since it started in 2010 up to date.

Games continues on Saturday And Sunday at Katoto court in the City of mzuzu.
