The Lions of Kaning’ina have once again dropped 3 points at home after they were vetoed 2 goals to nill by their brothers in arm, Kamuzu Baracks (KB) Football Club in the 2022 TNM Super League game played at Mzuzu Stadium on Saturday.
Silver Strikers collected maximum points over Mwansa’s boys weeks ago before they recorded a narrow 1-0 over TN Stars, but Moyale could not keep the momentum that they had in the previous game and their dream to win the game turned sour as they were second on the ball.
Kamuzu Barracks dominated the position from the first whistle and John Banda found back of the net in the second minute of the first half to show their intent of finishing the league in top 3.
However, Moyale tried to come to the Kamuzu Barracks half but they failed to impale due to discipline defense ruled by Hebert Wayekha.
KB doubled the lead in 58th minutes with a goal scored by Juma Yatina after communication conk out between the host defense and the goalkeeper Mc Donald Harawa.
Blessings Kawanga was the first to make changes with Zeliat Nkhoma and Sammy Chiponda in place of Gregory Nachipo and Chimwemwe Chisambi to amplify firepower in the middle of the park and upfront.
Assistance coach for KB Blessings Kawanga was pleased with his boys for the win.
“The pitch has well contributed, we played well scoring in the first minutes. I thank my boys for the win. It was not easy to beat our fellow soldiers at home,” Kawinga said.
Kawanga further pointed that the referee and the riseman were bias saying their decisions were faulty.
On his part, Coach for Moyale Baracks Prichard Mwansa described painful loss at home.
“Very very painful to lose points at home with many goals. We did not played as a team. We tried our best to contend them in the first half may be to equalize their early goal but we failed, congratulations to our colleagues for the win we will go back and sit down with my boys to move forward in the next games,” Mwansa said.
KB came third on the log table with 54 points from 28 games while Moyale still on position 7 from the same number of games played with 43 points.
Moyale will be travelling to Blantyre to play against Mighty Mukulu Wanderers on Wednesday before playing defending champions, Nyasa Big Bullets FC on Saturday, all games will be at Kamuzu Stadium.
