Simkonda Lone Goal Helps Moyale to Beat TN Stars
Moyale Barracks on Sunday beat TN Stars 1 nil thanks to Gasten Simkonda who gave his side three points in the Tnm superleague match played at Mzuzu stadium.
The result give TN Stars a confirmation of relegation dispite having three games to end the League.
Simkonda scored a rebound ball after Brown Magaga had a shot from left side of the pitch that TN goal stopper failed to handle in the 33 minute of the first half.
TN stars resurrected in the last minutes of the second half but China Chirwa and others failed to utilize chances they got.
Maneno Nyoni, Lusekero Malema, Ntopijo Njewa and Innocent Bottoman had a tough time today especially in the dying minutes with TN Stars piling pressure before referee Mercy Kaira blew the final whistle to end the match.
Prichard Mwansa Moyale Barracks Coach said his boys didn’t play well dispite bagging maximum points.
“We didn’t played our game, poor communication among players but what we wanted is to push for points and we bagged three points today,” said Mwansa.
Tn stars Honest Nkhwazi said they played well but officiation was not on their side.
“We played well but the bad officiation today fueled our Loss, they denied our clear goal, we can not promote football in Malawi with such officiation, we are going back to correct some mistakes that we noted today at least to end the league with a win despite being relegated,” he said.
Moyale Barracks is on position 7, with 43 points, while Tn is on position 15, with 27 points both from 27 games played.
