Philip Pasula – 2022 Mzuzu City and North Education Division Best Teacher

In addition to numerous awards he has amassed over the years as sports journalist for Malawi’s flagship online newspaper Nyasatimes, Philip Pasula who is also an English teacher at Mzuzu Government Secondary School was on 25th of February awarded as best teacher in Mzuzu City and the best of the best secondary school teacher in the Northern Education Division (NED).

Pasula was given the award by deputy minister of education Monica Chang’anamuno during this year’s celebrations of world teachers day held at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.

Responding to the awards the usually talkative Pasula was loss for words for this feat but attributed everything to God.

“Now this can only be God and nothing or nobody else. It’s all about Mark 10:27 ( Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God’),” said Pasula.
