Global Fund donates 41 vehicles to Health Ministry

Global Fund has financially helped with procurement of 41 utility vehicles worth K1.3bn for the Malawi government through the Ministry of Health for Covid-19 national response.

Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda says government will continue to work with the Global Fund so as to improve health service delivery.

Global Fund Senior Portfolio Manager Osian Jones says his organisation will make sure that health service delivery is not affected due to transportation.

The figure loosely translates to buying one vehicle at K30m. This is clarification that the ministry is now making. The officials say the K110bn is for the whole response program.
