Paul Master’s brilliance forces Manyozo to terminate contract

The meritorious performance of Blue Eagles defending midfielder, Paul Master in the 2022 season has forced Ben Manyozo to annul his contract with the team before the season ends.
The former Dwangwa United defending midfielder joined the area 30 based Cops after being released by Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club earlier this year.
However, the midfielder failed to supplant Paul Master who has been Blue Eagles’ engine this season, starting all the 20 games that the Club has played this season in the tnm Super League including 3 games in the FDH Bank Cup.
Signed from Bullets, Manyozo carried alot of odds but he has failed to break the good bloc of Master and Gilbert Chirwa in the heart of the defence.
The duo have made the Eagles defence looks very solid but in a real sense, a team with good defensive cover in the midfield, concede less.
Blue Eagles FC is only the Super League side to concede less goals (6) and there is no team in elite league managed to score two goals against them. Only Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve scored two against them in the FDH Bank Cup.
Noticing that he will not be going to force his way into the team’s starting Xi, Manyozo has penned the Area 30-based Cops informing the termination of his contract.
“I am here to inform the Club [Blue Eagles FC] that I have been here in Lilongwe as a player for the said team. My point of terminating the contract is as follows: Game time is the only problem that I have been facing Since I joined the Club, so as a player, I need to have more minutes on the pitch,” reads the letter addressed to Malawi Police Services.
Blue Eagles Vice General Secretary, Solomon Gomezgani Mchawi has confirmed the development saying the team has received his letter.
“Yes, yes we have received his letter, so as a Club we have decided to accept his request. We wish him all the best wherever he goes. Ben Manyozo is a well disciplined player and in our team, there is a lot of competitions, hence minimising his playing minutes,” Mchawi.
Manyozo has managed to feature less than 10 minutes in the team Super League this season. He was tied to the Club by a one-year contract.
