FAM starts selling tickets of FDH Cup Blantyre Derby

As one way of ensuring that everyone has a chance to watch the second semifinals of FDH Bank Cup involving two gaints Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) have started selling the tickets ahead of the match.
FAM Marketing Officer Limbani Matola says tickets are know available in most places in the city of Lilongwe, Blantyre and Mponera in Dowa district.
Matola adds that FAM are selling the tickets at good prices but the prices will go up during the match hence he has reminded all supporters and football loves to buy it know rather than buying it during the game.
“Indeed we have started selling the tickets and for easy to buy it you can find it in all FDH Banks in Lilongwe,” he says.
When he was asked about the security, the FAM market leader says they are know in talks with other two security companies to provides maximum security together with Malawi Police and Stewarts.
“We want everyone including properties of people to be safe and for this reason we will add other security companies to provide extra security,” he says.
The Blantyre Derby via Lilongwe has come when Nyasa Big Bullets are coming from back to back defeat in the preliminaly round of Caf Confederation League against Simba Sports Club of Tanzania last week by 4-0 on goal aggregate while Mighty Mukuru Wanderers are coming from a win over Silver Strikers by a goal to nill at Kamuzu stadium where Muhammad Sulumba netted the goal.
The last time two gaints met was in TNM Super League at Kamuzu stadium where Nomads came from behind to force a draw against Bullets and former Nyasa Big Bullets and Civil Service United Football Club forward Muhammad Sulumba netted in dying minutes.
Since arrival of Alex Ngwira as Nomads coach, the team have never suffered any defeat as they have played five games under him, and they have played three TNM Super League matches while the two are FDH Bank Cup games between Dedza Dynamos Salima Sugar Fc in round of 16 before facing Kamuzu Barracks in qurterfinals of Pachema FDH Bank Cup at Kamuzu stadium.
While the Nomads are enjoying good form, the people’s team have also never suffered any defeat this season against any other local team and are league leaders with only 11 goals conceding this season.
Nyasa Big Bullets reached in the semifinals after slashed Chitipa United at Rumphi stadium while Mighty Mukuru Wanderers reached in the semifinals following a win over Kamuzu Barracks at Kamuzu stadium.
The winner between the two sides will face the young Nyasa Big Bullets in the finals of Pachema FDH Bank Cup at Kamuzu stadium next month on 8.
