Narrow Win Lifts Moyale Into Top Half of TNM Super League
A 37th minute goal from Raphael Phiri separated boys from men as Moyale Barracks beat Sable Farming 1 – 0, at Mzuzu stadium in the Tnm superleague on Sunday.
Both team started with the hope of winning the game, chances were missed by both sides as Sable’s defense were hard to be cracked until in the 37 minutes of the first half when Raphael Phiri flicked a header plover Sable goal stopper who went in to challenge the ball.
In the second half Sable made some changes so too Moyale but there was nothing to write about until the center referee Misheck Juwa blew the whistle to mark the end the game.
In post match interview Moyale Barracks football team Coach Prichard Mwansa said he is going back into Class for CAF B coaching course a happy person after recent positive results.
“Yes am going back to Blantyre to continue my CAF B coaching course a happy person though we did not play well but having three points is enough to celebrate, we had chances but we did not use them, the game of football is a game of mistakes our opponents made a mistake we scored that is how football goes,” said Mwansa.
Meanwhile Sable coach Mc Donald Mtetemela said he was not happy with the result.
“Am not happy to return back to Blantyre with nothing, every coach needs points but we travelled to the north and yielding nothing, poor communication with our goalkeeper cost us a goal, and am repeating that Sable will survive,” said Mtetemela.
Sable are returning back to the South after losing to Ekwendeni Hammers on Saturday 2 nil, and on Sunday 1 nil to Moyale Barracks.
The results push Moyale to position 7, from 8 with 32 points while Sable still struggling from relegation with 19 points from 20 games played and sit on position 14.
