24 motorcycle and 6 motor vehicles impounded in Ntchisi
Ntchisi Police have impounded 24 motorcycles and 6 motor vehicles to avoid increasing road accidents involving motorcycles in the district.
Yohane Tasowana Spokesperson for police in the district, says the iimpounded motorcycles are those whose cyclists carried more than one pillion passenger and those who do not put on helmets
“While the vehicles are the ones whose drivers had no driving licence, those vehicles without Certificate of Fitness and Insurance deemed not road worth vehicles,” explains Tasowana.
Most road accident in Malawi comes due to careless driving and more than these accidents involved to motorcycle users.
