Scorchers in a Do or Die mission

The Malawi National women football team coach Lovermore Fazili is optimistic that his side will reach the semifinals of Cosaafa Women’s Championship despite another crucial game against Tanzania on Wednesday.
The team which popularly known as The Scorchers are toping the Group C with four points after playing two games in the tournament.
However despite leading the Group C log table, the scorchers are not much safe as Tanzania are also closer to them with same number of points but only goal difference separates the two sides.
Commenting on the final fixture of group c the scorchers coach said his side will go into the game with revenge mission as of last the scorchers failed to win the trophy as they were hammered by Tanzania.
”It will be another game and we know they style of play and we will prepare more for them.
“We have good squad, full of talent and experience hope this will help us when will face them on Thursday,” he said.
Meanwhile the scorchers will miss the service of captain Tabitha Chawinga who has left in south Africa on Tuesday morning back to Italy where she is playing her professional football.
In two games she played Tabitha Chawinga helped the team in different occasion and she was voted player of the match consecutively in games between Malawi and Botswana as well Malawi against Comoros Islands.
The scorchers started this year Cosaafa Women’s Championship with draw against Botswana before thrashing Comoros by 6 -0 where Tabitha Chawinga netted hat trick.
Last year the scorchers reached the finals of the competition but failed to won it following the loss against Tanzania
