Bullets target K90m from gate collections

TNM Super League Champions Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club have set a target of K90 million from the gate revenue as they face Tanzanian giants, Simba Sporting Club on Saturday in the TotalEnergies Caf Champions League.

The people’s team welcome the Lions at a 42000-capacity stadium before travelling to Benjamin Mkapa Stadium seven days later.

The Confederation of African Football allowed Nyasa Big Bullets through the Football Association of Malawi to have the tickets for the full capacity printed.

Fam Club Licencing and Compliance Manager confirmed the development saying its up to Bullets to print the tickets for the full capacity.

Nyasa Big Bullets Chief Administrative Officer, Albert Chigoga says with ticket pre-sale, they believe that they rake in a thick revenue from the gate collection.

“We are targeting to collect K90 Million from the gate revenue. Strategic Positions across the country have been intensified. We are encouraging our fans and the Football fraternity to watch thr match in large numbers,” said Chigoga.

Meanwhile, the Club have budgeted K130 Million for their clash and Sugzo Nyirenda, the Club’s Chief Executive Officer says the budget includes return air tickets, accommodation, food and logistics for hosting Simba.

Nyirenda added that the people’s team will generate its income through broadcasting rights.

“We are expected to spend Big on the team and also hosting the officiating team. We hope of generate our income through broadcasting rights and gate collections, ” said Nyirenda.

The people’s Team transferred their base from Blantyre to Lilongwe on Wednesday in preparations for the Preliminary battle.
