The President of the Republic, Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera says his government will make sure that it creates more space for the youths to enable them contributing for the development of the country.
Dr Chakwera made the remarks on Friday at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe during the Commemoration of the international youth day.
He said Youths are the backbones of the country as they are the hubs of the innovative and creative ideas that can bring about positive change in the country.
“The youths are the people that we need to consider everyday because they are the ones who are mapping the way,” said Chakwera.

“At least 51% of population in Malawi are youths. This is a day to remember that young people are there. We cannot talk about the economy of the country without mentioning the young people,” said Chimwendo Banda.
