UTM denied sponsoring demos

One if the Tonse Alliance partners United Transformation Movement UTM denied behind sponsoring the in going demonstrations that concerned Malawians are organizing.

UTM Secretary General, Patricia Kaliati says social media reports making rounds that Vice President Saulos Chilima is sponsoring demonstrations in the country are baseless just aimed at tarnishing the party leader’s image.

Kaliati, the Gender Minister argues those fabricating such stories are enemies of progress with intent to distract the good relationship between President Lazarus Chakwera and Chilima.

She made the remarks today in Ntcheu during the launch of a football trophy which will be sponsored by UTM Member of Parliament for Ntcheu West, Simeon Salambula.

Currently some concerned Malawians are planning to hold a mega national wide mass demonstrations to force President Chakwera to resign saying he failed to control the country economy that Malawians are facing hardship life
