Promise fulfilled, Gwamba Donates 3.4 million to Pashello
The multi-award-winning gospel Hip Hop rapper, Duncan Zgambo popularly known as Gwamba has fulfilled his promise of helping Pashello Charitable Trust in Chikwawa.
He pledged to use proceedings from his Album titled “true independence” in bailing out the owner of the orphanage to help her running it.
He said, “I’m going to use my album to raise funds for Pashello,” said Gwamba.
“Over the past years, I have been going to Pashello Charitable Trust in Chikwawa, where Mrs Malola takes care of orphans and the less privileged. The work that is being done there is amazing and that is why I have decided to involve the public and offer her more support,” added Gwamba.
The Hip-Hop landlord used 50 CDs to raise K3.4 million for the orphanage.
“There will only be 50 CDs for sale. If you’re in Lilongwe or Blantyre, I will personally deliver a signed CD to you. If you’re in Mzuzu, we will make arrangements,” Gwamba.
To fulfil his pledges, Gwamba sold all the 50 CDs which raked in K3.4 million.
On Friday, Gwamba announced on his Facebook page that he had donated the money after the sale of the CDs.
He said, “Earlier today, I traveled to Chikwawa to donate the 3.4 Million that was raised after selling 50 CDs.”
Meanwhile, the rapper has commended people who showed interest in buying his Album.
“Thank you so much to everyone who bought the album and May God bless you abundantly,” added Landlord.
For transparency and accountability, Gwamba would post each and everyone who had purchased the album.
Some of the notable figures on bought the true independence Album were Hip Hop rapper, Kell Kay, Nyasa Big Bullets captain, Chimwemwe Idana, SupaBoy, Tadikira, Nowel Chikoleka (Physix), Justin Chauluka among others.
The True Independent Album has 14 songs namely, Yesunso, Ndatopa, Trying, Ngati Inu, Yewo Dada, True Independent, If U had choice, Timpuza, Ma Photo, Questions, Amakukonda, My Daily Worship, Ngati Inu and Found love.
Pashello Charitable Trust is a local based Non-Profitable Organisation based in the area of Traditional Authority Ngabu in Chikwawa District.
Currently, Pashello Charitable Trust is raising a majority of Orphans, people with Albinism and some needy Children at Felia’s home crowning her a heart of compassion.
The Organisation has 10 years in operation as it was founded back in 2011 with the main objective of doing Charitable works and the name was derived from three Children of Mr and Mrs Malola, Patrick, Sheilla.
