Sports Minister to attend Mzuzu FISD International Volleyball tournament
The minister of Youth and Sports Hon Richard Chimwendo Banda will grace this year’s FISD International Volleyball final games slated to take place next month in the Northern part of Malawi, Mzuzu.
The communication was made through the chairperson of the tournament organizing committee, Killy Msukwa.
Msukwa said the minister has confirmed his presence at the tournament.
This year’s FISD International Volleyball has drawn top teams from neighbouring countries like Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and the host nation, Malawi.
Musukwa said, “The minister has confirmed his presence. He will attend the tournament and this is a boost for us as we are preparing for the tournament.”
Meanwhile, Mzuzu Academy announced that they will sponsor the tournament by offering cheap accommodation to the visiting teams as they will be accommodated at their facility.
“Mzuzu International Academy will provide accommodation to all the visiting teams at their International Hotel standard hostels at only K7000 which is far reasonable for everyone,” said Musukwa.
