Security guard killed in Nsanje
A security guard identified as Dimingu Benjamin was found dead on July 10, 2022 along M’gona-Chikhawo Village path at Mg’ona Village after being killed by unknown assailants in Nsanje.
It is reported that on Saturday afternoon, July 9, 2022 the deceased left his home for garden but later diverted to Chikhawo Village in Traditional Authority Tengani in the district for drinking beer before found dead the following day morning.
Nsanje Police Station spokesperson, Sub inspector, Agness Zalakoma explains, “The matter was reported to Tengani Police Unit where it was further reported to us at Nsanje Police Station.
“And upon receipt of the matter, police immediately visited the scene where it was observed that blood stains were seen coming out from the mouth.”
The district’s police PRO further said the dead body was taken to the hospital for postmortem where it was revealed that death was caused due to suffocation as a result of strangulation.
Meanwhile, Zalakoma added that they have launched a manhunt to trace the culprits.
The deceased hailed from M’gona Village in Traditional Authority Tengani in Nsanje District.
