DPP to hold an urgent meeting in Mangochi
The former ruling party, Democratic Progressive is expected to hold an urgent meeting for it’s Members of Parliament today 26 at Party’s President Peter Mutharika’s elegant residence in Mangochi.
National Organizing Secretary for the party, Chimwemwe Mazabuka Chipungu has mustered Members of Parliament to attend the meeting.
Chipungu has not disclosed the items on the agenda to the MPs, however, our impeccable sources close to the meeting say the meeting has been called to consecrate the new leader of opposition to replace the incumbent Kondwani Nankhumwa.
According to the source, a good number of Members of Parliament who believed to be behind Nankhumwa have been sidelined as they haven’t been invited, including Nankhumwa himself.
Five individuals earmarked to take up the position and replace Dr Nankhumwa are Shadreck Namalomba, Bright Msaka, Hon. Dr George Chaponda, Hon. Victor Musowa and Owen Chomanika.
