APAM president urged Government to support National Action Plan
President of the Association of Persons with Albinism, Young Muhamba, has urged government to support implementation of the National Action Plan through adequate funding.
Muhamba says the Plan is expiring this year and, therefore, needs serious review to address issues affecting welfare of persons with albinism (PWAs).
He has also asked for inclusion of PWAs in social protection programmes and expedite construction of decent and secure houses for their safety.
He said this today during the commemoration of International Albinism Awareness Day at Mpapa Primary School in Blantyre.
