3 players to compete for Bullets May player of the month

Nyasa Big Bullets has on Tuesday afternoon announced the nominees for Hubertus Clausius player of the month for May.

Two defenders, Kesten Simbi and Precious Sambani and their mediocre midfielder Chimwemwe Idana appear on the list to be voted for the individual accolade.

Kesten Simbi is a defender who is playing in the elite League for the first time in his career after catching Nyasa Big Bullets’ Head Coach Kalistso Pasuwa’s eyes when he was playing for the Reserve side.

Simbi has not been shy in the defence and he has been one of the outstanding players in Bullets’ team not only May but in all the 12 games that the team has played so far. He made his official debut when he Bullets defeated Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium in Charity Shield Cup and he was paired with Hadji Wali. Simbi has played all the games and every minute for the team this season and he is the only one to play more minutes for the team.

In May, Simbi has helped Bullets to keep three cleansheets from 5 games by making vital blocks and tackles.

Another player who has been outstanding in the month of May is Precious Sambani. He played all the game and he scored two goals. However, in his last two games, he has been substituted off for his positionmate, Alick Lungu.

Chimwemwe Idana scored two goals and an assist for the team. He has been an influential player for the team, both offensively and defensively.
