The Zambian National Team Head Coach Aljosa Asanovic is fully positive that his team will defeat Comoros Island on Tuesday at National Heroes Stadium as his players are aware of the importance and magnitude of the encounter.

The Chipolopolo Boys are heading into the second fixture of the Group H African Cup of Nations on Tuesday after succumbing a 3-1 humiliation at the hands of the upcoming Afcon finals hosts, Ivory Coast on Friday while their counterparts are buoyed with confidence after starting their journey on a positive note as by thumping Lesotho 2-0 at home on the same date.

During the pre-match pressing, the Croat was upbeat and plots Comoros’ defeat.

“It is a very difficult match but we are playing at home and I am pretty sure that we will play yo get a win because it is what is important for us.

“My players know their job and we are doing everything possible for tomorrow and I just told my charges that they are very good team who have talent, skill and everything, ” said Asanovic.

Meanwhile, the Head Ciach for Comoros, Amir Abdou warned Zambia they were not scared of any player or Zambia.

“We were planning for two games,it is good we won against Lesotho but now our we have shifted our focus to Zambia and we are more than ready to face Zambia,” said Abdou.

Zambia are looking to return to the Afcon final after missing in the previous two occasions, (2015, 2017).

Zambia have seventeen times appearances in the tournament sunce 1974 and they won it once back in 2012.
