Mzika Foundations has donated construction materials to build Primary Schools in Chikwawa and Nsanje.

This comes at a time when lowershire is recovering from the impacts of Tropical Cyclone Anna and Gombe.

On Friday Morning, the organization started its donations at Nyamadzere Model Primary school in Nsanje Boma.

Speaking after the donation, Chigomezgo Nyasulu, member of the organisation said they were targeting 4 learning institutions in the two districts.

“We thought it is good to donate the two districts with what we can. We will donate to three other schools in both Nsanje and Chikwawa,” said Nyasulu.

Nyasulu added that the organization will cast its net wider by reaching out other districts that were also affected by the Tropical Cyclone with Karonga, Salima, Mangochi and Machinga on their menu.

Nsanje Chief education, youth and Sports Greysone Alindiamawo applauded the organisation for the gesture.
“We thank Mzika Foundations for the donations. This will help to ease shortage of learning spaces in our primary schools here in Lowershire,” said Alindiamawo.

Alindiamawo added that some of the learners in Nsanje are learning outside the Classes, the development that is negatively affecting the education in the district.

Mzika Foundations raised about K42 Million through Pamtsetse Bonanza held in March where Silver Strikers emerged the winners over Nyasa Big Bullets, Mighty Wanderers and Civil Service United.
