Acb boss Chizuma leaked phone conversation ruling reserved
The High Court sitting in Lilongwe has reserved to a later date its ruling in a case involving Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) boss Martha Chizuma’s leaked phone conversation.
Chizuma is challenging a Mzuzu lower court’s decision permitting the police and the Director of Public Prosecution to review the leaked audio for possible prosecution.
The Mzuzu magistrate court’s ruling followed a complaint filed by one Frighton Mphompho who argued that Chizuma may have committed a crime by divulging information to an unknown person on the phone.
Lawyer representing Chizuma’s legal counsel, Martha Kaukonde, said she was satisfied with the proceedings.
