All roads lead to Army Sports festival in Salima

All is set for Moyale Barracks sports teams to compete for honours at this year’s Malawi Army Sports festival in Salima.

3MR are making the trip with Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Hockey, Tag of War and Athletics teams

Major Erick Masenda OC Moyale Barracks said it is their expectation that Moyale will scoop many honours at the sports festival.

“Every year 3MR has been doing fine in this festival so it’s not something new that we are going with the aim of defending and if not scooping all the awards. We told all players in different disciplines to fight and take everything home,” said Masenda.

Speaking before the departure from Mzuzu, Moyale Barracks sports incharge Captain Mphatso Dziza said everything is intact to bring medals from Salima.

“Since qualification teams were training and some having friendlies and we are confident of bringing medals from Salima,” said Dziza.

The competition involve all Barracks in Malawi, and northern region send Moyale Barracks and Chilumba to represent the region.
