Sable Farming FC has suspended its head coach Joseph Malizani and his vice Shadrick Mpesi due to the team’s poor performance.

The Executive Committee arrived at the decision after an evaluation of the team’s performance which has seen losing five games,drawing two with a single win from eight games the Southern Region outfit has played this far.

This follows Sable’s back to back defeats to Moyale Barracks,Rumphi United,Blue Eagles and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.

The Chiradzulu-based side are currently on position 16 with five points from eight games,21 points behind league leaders Blue Eagles,who have played ten games at this far.

The team has hired coach MacDonald Nginde Mtetemera who will be the caretaker until the end of the first round.

The former Silver Strikers assistant coach has been given the task to steer the team out of the relegation zone in the remaining seven games of the first round.

According to a letter made available to Timveni Sports Desk, the Executive Committee arrived at the decision after an evaluation of the team’s performance during his leadership as Head Coach for the side.

“We regret to inform you that Sable Farming FC Executive Committee has resolved to suspend you and your vice from discharging your duties with immediate effect.

“We have been monitoring and evaluating the performance of our team since the commencement of the league,we regret to note that it has been below minimum performance level than what was expected.

“We have been time to time advised you to improve but unfortunately we do not find any improvement as evidenced by the position looking at where we are on the log table,despite providing the necessary support to the team. Take note that your performance would be reviewed after the end of the first round games,” reads the letter signed by the club’s Technical Director Duncan Ngolanga.
