Raphael Phiri’s brace hand Moyale maximum points
Two goals in the second half from Raphael Phiri were enough for Moyale Barracks FC to ease past Sable Farming on Saturday at Mpira stadium in the Tnm Super League
Sable started the game seeking an early goal but Moyale goalkeeper Jeremia Simfukwe was alert to clear dangerous balls.
Both teams failed to use chances they had in the first half.
Second half Moyale continued where they left from before the interval as they kept on piling pressure on Sable’s defence through the right flank where Brown Magaga was playing.
It was a corner in the 61st minute taken by Brown Magaga, that lead to Raphel Phiri header breaking the deadloack.
Phiri completed his brace three minutes later after dribling past the goalkeeper for Sable Farming Christopher Mikuwa.
In post match interview Moyale Barracks coach Prichard Mwansa was delighted to see his side taking all the points.
“Am happy that we won and going back with maximum points to Mzuzu, it’s not easy to win a game away, only that our boys did what we told them to do, what next now is to perform in that next games we know it won’t be easy but will try as we can,” said Mwansa.
Sable Farming coach Joseph Malizani said he was speechless after his side completely outclassed.
“Dispite that we played well, we lost again today and I don’t know what to say now we worked hard but failing to get goals, and on Wednesday we are playing Wakawaka Tigers, another tough assignment to us,” he said.
Moyale moved from position 10 to 6 with 13 points from 11 games, while Sable are stuck with 5 points from 8 games and are on position 14 on the log table.
