Deputy Minister of Defence Hails Lt Col Chazema for Authoring A Book

Deputy Minister for Defence Harry Mkandawire hailed Lieutenant Colonel Thokozani Chazema who is the Commanding Officer for Moyale Baracks for authoring a book dubbed “The Dilemma that is Congo.

Mkandawire who graced the event on Friday at Moyale Barracks said it is important for men and women in Military to develop a tendance of writing things that can bring change.

“Am happy for him, this is a very important development not only for our military but also our country. Such books puts us on the map and Chazema has contributed to our visibility world wide.” said Mkandawire.

During the auctioning of the book, Mkandawire bought the book at 300 thousand kwacha.

Other notable guests at the event were Minister of labour and author Vera Kamtukule, Judge Dingiswayo Madise, and Football Association of Malawi Second vice president Othaniel Hara

On his part, Lieutenant Colonel Thokozani Chazema expressed his gratitude towards the support that he received during the launch.

“Am happy that I got overwhelming support, this is encouraging to see how honorable people joined me to launch the book. am very thankful,” said Chazema.

Chazema further announced that part of the book launch proceeds will go towards the Mzuzu City Fundraising Campaign to keep the city clean.

“The Dilemma that is Congo” highlights the special military operations in Congo and suggests how best Democratic Republic of Congo can deal with conflicts.

The book which accumulated about 2 million kwacha on it’s launch is available for sells at 15 thousand kwacha in local libraries and online.
