Lawyer Tembo stopped practicing his duty

Chief Justice Rezin Mzikamanda has stopped Maxwell Tembo from practicing as a lawyer on disciplinary grounds .

Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda petitioned the Chief Justice for the debarrement of some lawyers that were disciplined and found guilty.

Tembo of Bullen and Associates is said to have not remitted money meant for the people he was representing, amounting to K6 million from different institutions.

Another case of similar nature involving Richard Katsiche, Nicely Msowoya and Julius Nyambo will be decided on Friday next week.

While emphasizing that this will be a lesson to lawyers who bring the profession into disrepute, the Attorney General says there are close to 12 cases awaiting trail.
